About SK&T Integration

SK&T Integration is a family-owned AIDC and barcode technology reseller supplying scanners, label printers, mobile computers, and service agreements across the United States. As the business grew, sales, quoting, assets, and finance spread across Infor CRM, QuoteWerks, spreadsheets, and Sage Intacct, creating more work between systems.

Our developers worked alongside SK&T to trace information from quoting and part numbers through assets, agreements, commissions, and finance. That work shaped CRM integration solutions around their operation, connecting the systems they relied on while reducing manual effort and keeping information aligned.

“We had systems that worked for different parts of the business, but we were still doing a lot of the work between them ourselves. Xpert Prime understood how we worked and helped us connect everything without disrupting our existing processes.”
— Brian Anderson, SK&T Integration

01 / The Challenge

Mitigating the Risks of a Legacy CRM Pipeline Migration

SK&T Integration had reached a point where growth was exposing the limits of its disconnected systems. Infor CRM held customer data, QuoteWerks handled quoting, spreadsheets filled process gaps, and manual work connected sales, products, assets, service agreements, and finance. As the operation expanded, teams spent more time moving and reconciling information between systems, making everyday execution slower and harder to control across sales, service, finance, and customer service.

The gaps extended into quoting and finance. Part numbers were created manually, order confirmations required re-entry, and customer assets and service agreements lacked one connected view. QuoteWerks also lacked a live link to financial item, invoice, or payment status.

Our team mapped information across sales, quoting, products, assets, service agreements, commissions, and finance. We identified duplicate entry, inconsistent part numbers, unclear ownership, and reporting gaps, then used the findings to shape the CRM integration solutions SK&T needed and define ownership across operations.

Xpert Prime mapped SK&T’s sales, quoting, asset, service, and finance processes to uncover integration gaps, remove manual dependencies, and define a scalable CRM architecture.

How we evaluate the problem

1

System Assessment

The existing CRM, quoting, product, asset, agreement, commission, and finance workflows were reviewed to understand information flow.

2

Process Mapping

Information was mapped from sales through quoting, order confirmation, assets, agreements, commissions, and finance to expose handoffs.

3

Gap Analysis

Duplicate entry, inconsistent part numbers, fragmented records, disconnected financial data, and reporting gaps were isolated as key issues.

4

Solution Alignment

Each gap was matched to the appropriate Zoho capability, while ownership was defined across Zoho, QuoteWerks, and Sage Intacct.
“The deeper we mapped SK&T’s workflows, the clearer it became that the issue wasn’t the systems themselves. It was the gaps between them and how information moved across the business.”

— Lead Architect, Xpert Prime Engagement

The Architecture Standard

Unified CRM Foundation

Zoho CRM centralized customer, product, sales, asset, and agreement data, giving SK&T one connected foundation for daily operations across teams.

Connected QuoteWerks

QuoteWerks remained SK&T’s quoting engine, with structured product and part-number data flowing into the process while results returned to CRM.

Governed Part Numbers

Zoho Creator governed part-number generation and reservation, reducing manual creation and keeping identifiers consistent across workflows.

Financial Integration

Sage Intacct remained the financial authority, while integrations exposed item, invoice, and payment information without duplicating records.

Asset & Agreement Visibility

Asset tracking software integrations connected equipment and agreements, improving visibility into coverage, expirations, and renewals.

Zoho CRM became the operational foundation for customer and sales information, while Zoho Creator handled the specialized logic behind part-number generation and reservation. Zoho CRM customization connected those processes with QuoteWerks and Sage Intacct while preserving their established roles. Each platform retained a clear responsibility, reducing the manual work required to move information between them.

The implementation progressed in phases, beginning with the CRM foundation, product catalog, part-number logic, and distributor connections. The next phase connected the legacy Infor environment, Sage Intacct, assets, service agreements, commissions, and Analytics. The final phase introduced governed part-number reservation across Creator, CRM, QuoteWerks, and Intacct.

Rather than treating migration as a simple lift-and-shift, the team followed a phased CRM migration strategy focused on relevant, serviceable records. This allowed SK&T to improve the new environment while continuing to address data integrity, system relationships, and operational priorities throughout the transition.

03 / Before & After

Measured Operational Change

SK&T’s transformation was measured across the workflows where disconnected systems created the most manual effort, from quoting and part numbers to assets, agreements, commissions, and reporting.
The goal was not to replace every system. QuoteWerks remained SK&T’s quoting engine, while Sage Intacct continued as the financial authority. Zoho connected the operational processes around them.
The result was a more structured flow of information, replacing manual handoffs with connected workflows and giving teams a clearer view across the operation.
